Hotel Maison Lacassagne

The room and bathroom were spotless and spacious, and there was a coffee machine in the room. We stayed one night with our two small dogs. Staff were very friendly, and check-in and checkout were quick and easy. They even offered us a coffee when we left. We’d gladly return.

Maison Lacassagne felt cozy and personal, not like just another hotel. The rooms had lovely attention to detail, and the reception was warm and welcoming. The staff really went out of their way to make me comfortable and cared for. It’s a little outside the main city centre, but public transit makes it easy to reach, and the quieter setting felt like a peaceful break from the city bustle. I absolutely loved my stay and can’t wait to come back to Lyon.

The service was good, but the rest of the hotel didn’t live up to expectations. The mattress was the worst part, so old and worn out that it offered no firmness or support. The room was tiny, and it was hard to move around the bed without bumping into the TV. The bathroom and stair corridor smelled bad. Thankfully, we’d only booked one night. This hotel is way overrated!

The location is a little further out, but the hotel’s charm and great hospitality make up for that. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast in the garden was lovely, and the rooms have a cute boutique style. This hidden gem deserves to be found. Can’t wait to stay here again.
