MOB Hotel Lyon Confluence

The rooms are small, but cozy and thoughtfully designed, and the service is friendly and uncomplicated. This trendy hotel sits just beyond the busy city center at the tip of the Confluence, with walks by the water nearby. It's a good base for getting around Lyon. There's no official parking, but plenty of options close by. The hotel restaurant is a nice extra, and the neighborhood has plenty more places to eat. Pets can stay free of charge.

I'm really upset. We had a reservation for tonight, but my son woke up with a high temperature this morning. Before 8, we emailed to explain and ask them to cancel, and we also sent a certificate that morning. They refused. I called three times, asking not for our money back, just for the chance to come another night. The only answer was no. We would have been happy to stay, and I really don't understand why they acted this way. It's money for all of us.

The reception team were incredibly helpful and saved the day. This was a last-minute stop for two adults and three teenagers on our drive back from the south of France to the UK. The rooms, beds, linens, and facilities were all excellent, and we felt safe in a place with a lovely atmosphere. We found one of the free parking spaces beside the hotel, though there's also a car park next door or secure parking farther away at a shopping center. We had a lovely, good-value pan-Asian meal at the center's restaurant. Lyon looked impressive even from the little we saw, so next time we'd stay longer and explore properly. The hotel bar drinks were expensive, and we skipped breakfast because it would have cost €100 for all five of us. The rooms were only a little more than that, so everything else was fantastic value. We'd stay again and recommend it.

I was staying at a different hotel and came by to see this one for a future trip. I rather wish I'd picked it for this stay, too. Spending the afternoon in the communal area was very pleasant.
