Le Relais De La Poste

Really excellent.

The food was excellent, especially the lobster and scallops with black caviar. We hardly noticed the 2.5 hours go by. The varied menu also came with a small surprise: neighboring tables with the same menu selection got different desserts, while we were served the same one. We could hear every conversation at the tables beside us, and there was no music, so it was very noisy. Still, everything was well organized. When we arrived in the rain, someone came to the car with a large umbrella and walked us to the entrance, though I took a while to open the door myself.

The dishes were exquisite, with high-quality local produce, and the sommelier gave us wonderful advice on wines to match them. The list itself has a very wide selection. Service was impeccable, attentive and professional. An unforgettable meal, and congratulations to the whole team. We’ll definitely return.

The wine pairings went well with a superb autumn menu, and there was less than five minutes between courses. Service was friendly and efficient. The lobster was a highlight, its sauce working perfectly with it, and the pan-seared foie gras and absolutely tender venison were remarkable too. The starter and desserts were excellent, and the chocolate “sphere” was a divine final touch. There’s a good selection of wines from the Southwest.
