Sunset House

The owners were lovely and welcoming, and the clean, comfortable rooms had a homely feel. We booked a comfort room for two for two nights, but were given a suite with two bedrooms, a sitting area, and a bathroom. The gardens and swimming pool were available, with free WiFi and breakfast included. The self-service buffet had a good range of products and was well stocked. It was well worth what we paid. We had no luck reaching anyone by phone, despite calling four or five times after booking to confirm our arrival once we were on the way. When we got there, the owners said they knew nothing about the reservation. They had a bedroom free, but could only offer breakfast, with no other food. I saw several trays of eggs in the kitchen, but no one offered something like an omelette. They said we could find a restaurant by taking one of two roads through the village. That wasn't true. After walking several kilometres, we asked at a bar and were told there were no restaurants in the village. We went back, collected our luggage, and one of the three staff lost her temper in a way that was extremely unnerving. I insisted on a refund and eventually got €60 back. They told me they were closing the next day. Two hours later, we managed to find another hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at your B&B, especially the very good breakfast and your even better hospitality. Thanks for taking care of our spaghetti, and for a lovely swim. It was nice getting to know you. Greetings, Mark & Margriet.

A beautiful spot, with really comfortable rooms and beds and an incredibly accommodating team. Couldn't ask for much more :)
