This was a very unpleasant stay at this Novotel property. The rooms were freezing. I had to ask for an extra blanket and still couldn't sleep properly. The three people traveling with me said the same. Staffing seemed poor, and every interaction I had with front desk, restaurant, or housekeeping staff fell below what I'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Dinner was bland, our drinks arrived after we'd finished the main course, and breakfast quality was low, with industrial bread and fried eggs that weren't cooked through. I also had safety concerns as a solo female traveler. My room wasn't ready when I arrived in the morning, so the hotel offered to hold my bag. At night I found it left in plain sight by the desk with no one watching it. When the front desk gave me my room key, she said my room number loudly in the lobby where other guests could hear.

The rooms have been updated, though the place still feels a bit tired. I couldn't find snacks in the minibar or at reception, which seemed like a very odd way to cater. I'm also not sure whether it's meant to be a golf hotel or a business hotel. The bar staff weren't always around, but the front desk was helpful.

It's a nice hotel in a lovely spot by the golf course. The rooms felt basic for a 4-star place, though. There was no food or drink service after hours, and not even vending machines, which was a big negative.

The night before my stay, I got an email saying the hotel had canceled my booking, even though I had a reservation guarantee as a Platinum Accor member. It was obviously overbooked, and they don't seem to care about their supposedly valued customers. Really disappointing!
