Moulin de la Fosse Soucy

I love staying here.

Our stay at Gîte Les Merisiers was really relaxing. The wooden terrace has a magnificent view, and the cottage is out in the countryside, not far from the sea. It sleeps 9 and is comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We got a very warm welcome and some lovely local gifts. The weather wasn't great at the start, which was a shame. Thank you so much.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and our dog was welcome too, with a great time of its own. The house is well furnished and fully equipped. Its central spot in the D-Day area, just five kilometers from Omaha Beach, made for a fantastic week.

The only real downside was the slow rural Wi-Fi, with downloads at 1.5 Mbps and uploads at 0.9 Mbps. Otherwise, this is a beautiful vacation home and a real bargain for the price. The renovated building is in superb shape for its age, everything was clean and well maintained, and the kitchen appliances and bathrooms all worked perfectly. The house has nine beds, two bathrooms, a separate toilet, lots of rooms, and a spacious living and dining area. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, ceramic cooktop, extractor hood, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and kettle. Rooms are nicely furnished and spacious, with plenty of luggage storage, and the beds are comfortable. Some rooms have blinds. The layout makes clever use of every corner, and everything is beautifully arranged. We especially liked the first-floor terrace off the dining room, where we could sit or have dinner together and enjoy the landscape and sunset. Outside, there's a lovely courtyard with a pleasant gravel path, and the house looks really attractive. Definitely recommend it for a vacation.
