B&B HOTEL Paris Malakoff Parc des Expositions

The people were very kind, and this is our favorite hotel for visiting Paris. It's rare to find one so close to Paris with secure underground parking, with a 6.5-foot (2 m) clearance. The lift opens into the lobby, and the double-glazed windows kept out noise from both trains and cars.

Our room was clean and well maintained, and I felt safe there and in the parking area. The underground parking was dirty, but there was enough room even for a somewhat larger car. We mostly took the metro into the center. It was only a few minutes' walk away, and the ride took around 15 minutes. I've attached a photo of our view. The hotel was more empty than full, so I hoped for a higher-floor room with a better view instead of facing a wall or the tracks. Trains pass every few minutes, and you can hear them.

The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location made it worthwhile. The shower was the problem: even when I tried to close the door properly, water leaked onto the floor. The shower is already small, so that was frustrating.

Metro Line 13 is close by, and having a 24-hour McDonald’s nearby was useful. The price felt fair for what we got, the place was acceptably clean, and the staff were attentive. But the air conditioning wasn't working well. We reported it and the problem continued, apparently because of how the system is set up. It got quite hot at times and made the stay uncomfortable. A decent budget option if you want to be in a well-connected area.
