She was so kind about my last-minute cancellation when I got sick, and adjusted to the situation without making it difficult. I’m sorry I couldn’t enjoy the booking, because I’m sure I would have had a lovely stay. Thank you for being so understanding and accommodating.

Dinner was excellent, made just for us, and the service was first-rate. The hosts were warm and flexible through a few challenges, and we nearly felt like we were staying with family. They clearly care about making guests comfortable. The house is lovely and still has its original character. Our room was comfortable, though the soundproofing could be better and the bathroom needs a little updating. The shower leaked. If you’re passing by, Joigny is a pretty medieval town about a 30-minute drive away.

The owners are kind, attentive, and accommodating, and the food is excellent, with nearly everything homemade. I don't want this to come across the wrong way, because the room issues are really my only complaint. The shower is tiny, its base isn't level, and the drain seems poorly fitted, so water gets all over the wooden floor. There are also pipes running through the walls and some rough cutouts. It doesn't look nice, and the shower isn't relaxing to use. The rooms need a proper renovation by a professional. I know that costs money, but it needs doing.

The €27 meal was generous, service was impeccable, and we didn't have to wait. It was quiet at lunchtime, and the manager or owner was pleasant, smiling, and very attentive. Thanks for a lovely break. The welcome was warm and the setting friendly and unfussy. We couldn't use the terrace today, but it looked like a pleasant spot under the trees, away from the road. Just watch for the entrance when driving from Province toward Paris, the signs are a bit easy to miss.

The owners made us feel very welcome, and everything was spotless and in line with covid health standards. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and generous, served in the room. Great value for money. I'll be back.
