The village itself looks magnificent, but that’s about all you’re paying for. The apartments are tiny and shabby, with poor bedding and no soundproofing, and the price is nowhere near justified. We won’t be back and strongly advise against it. Half board felt like a rip-off. The Tilleuls buffet was disappointing and unbalanced, with almost nothing for kids beyond minced steaks, plain pasta, and nuggets. Drinks cost extra. La Farigoule pizzeria isn’t included in the package. Café des Arts was the one bright spot, with good food and very pleasant service, though you have to book for every meal. Mini-golf and archery also cost extra, even though many other resorts include them. At the water park, the wave pool was in terrible shape and urgently needed renovation. There were maybe five or six parasols for all the holidaymakers, unless you paid extra for the comfort zone. Given the price, we expected at least a basic level of comfort and quality, but the value for money is terrible.

For €3,000, we expected a relaxing stay, not a string of problems. We’d booked a house with a private pool, but the pool was freezing and dirty. When we said it was too cold, the person handling the rental told us to use the residence pool instead. We paid for a private pool, so that response was ridiculous. Maeva offered no compensation, which was disgraceful. We won’t return, and we’ll warn everyone we know. The day before our arrival, the person responsible for the keys called to say the house was ready. After a 12-hour drive, we got there at 2:30 pm, but she wasn’t available to show us the house. She handed over the keys and said she’d meet us there, then arrived 40 minutes later. We found a huge wasp or bee nest on the terrace, too large for us to sit outside, and there was no hot water. We asked to move to another house and were told it was impossible. After we called a lawyer, who said we should insist on a different house or have the situation documented by the police, another house suddenly became available. Its pool was in the shade and freezing. She angrily put us in the new rental without explaining anything. We went back to speak with her several times, and she stayed just as unpleasant. She even accused us of requesting a move because it was causing problems for the clients who had booked the original house. Unbelievable. The new place had air conditioning, but it didn’t work. When we asked how to use it, she treated us like idiots and told us to use the thermostat. She said she’d send a technician, but we went home still waiting for one. She was haughty, unpleasant, and dishonest. In her view it was always the owner’s or the holidaymaker’s fault, never hers. She did nothing to make guests comfortable. When Maeva advertises “prestige” houses, don’t expect to get your money’s worth. You arrive to sort out problems, get brushed off, and end up with something more like a campsite.

Strands of hair were scattered around the bathroom and kitchen, the pillows were filthy, and there wasn’t any toilet paper. The place also looked nothing like the photos. It was dirty, dirty, dirty. A place like that shouldn’t be rented.

The manager is haughty, unpleasant, and dishonest, and I found her a liar. The establishment is low quality and nowhere near country club standard. I can’t understand what such a low-end place is doing in this field. There’s no respect here.
