It stayed quiet despite its location, thanks to the long driveway and lush gardens. The proprietor was very friendly, and there’s a good Vietnamese restaurant nearby. We could keep our bicycles in a nice, safe garage, and the breakfast pastries and preserves were delicious and homemade. The house itself is beautiful, a large, carefully kept and restored granite place with a spiral staircase and lots of original artistic details. Charming, tasteful and quirky. Fabulous.

We'd lost our way, and our very patient hosts came to find us in town and bring us to their delightful place. The rooms were beautiful, full of pretty little treasures. Breakfast was excellent, with breads, cakes, jams and preserves, plus homemade yogurt. Such a beautiful, unique hotel. I'll recommend it to all my friends.

We stayed three days as a family of three in the room called “Coeur,” and I would avoid it. There was no key for the room or the bathroom. The wardrobes were locked or filled with the owners' things, so there was nowhere to unpack. The decor was crowded with dusty objects. The room had no toilet; the shared one in the corridor had a faulty lock and was chronically short of toilet paper. We asked for an extra bed for our son, but ended up with a table in the middle of the room, leaving hardly any space to move. We carefully shifted it so we wouldn't trip at night. The owner, though his wife is the actual owner, then berated us for mistreating the antique furniture and putting our luggage on the valuable table. That simply wasn't true. Our suitcases stayed on the floor throughout the stay, barely opened and still full. Breakfast was mediocre, with no cereal because, as they put it, “clients leave it too often.” Avoid this place.

The hosts were so welcoming, and the house and gardens were absolutely charming. Breakfast was great too. I'd stay here again.

We were exceptionally warmly welcomed by the hosts. The house and grounds are beautiful.
