Parking was easy, with spaces out front and an area under the hotel for us bikers. My room was simple, with a toilet and basin, and having to go upstairs for the shower was no problem. The Grimbergen dark was lovely.

I really enjoyed my meal, and the bill was very reasonable. Room 11 was quiet and comfortable, and the shower had hot water. This hotel was just what I wanted.

The €6 breakfast wasn't bad, and the bedrooms were clean and tidy. I found the hotel pleasant enough, though the bathroom let it down a bit. There was no proper shower or bath: the bath was too small, and the shower wasn't fixed to the wall and had no curtain.

I got what I paid for, and it was good enough. I just wish the blinds in my room would actually open.

Comfortable, clean, and cheap. Those are my three Cs for travelling anywhere, whichever country I'm in.
