La Rosière de Marcq

The bedding was exceptional, and breakfast out on the terrace was generous, with fresh fruit, homemade yogurt and jams, breads and pastries, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, and plenty to drink, all laid out on lovely tableware and linens. The three bedrooms in the lady's home are beautifully decorated, each with its own well-equipped bathroom and shower. She gave us a very warm welcome. I highly recommend staying here in Lille! 😍😍😍

We had booked the Aloïs suite, but the owner had made a clear booking mistake and offered us Anna's room instead. She seemed to be trying to make our stay comfortable, but reacted badly to our comment and texted, "If you don't want to come to my house anymore, no problem for me" while we were already there for the street fair. It felt like a rude attempt at blackmail, and the phone conversation was even more unpleasant. Be cautious: she seems sensitive and moody, and can quickly become disagreeable.

Whenever we're in Lille, we've been booking one of the lovely rooms at La Rosière for years. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious, and the welcome is exceptionally kind.

We stayed four days as a family of four, parents and two young people. It's a refreshing change from impersonal hotels. Our rooms were quiet and high quality, with very comfortable beds, and the host was extremely kind. Breakfast had fresh products, some homemade, and the Wi-Fi worked well for anyone who needs it :-). I highly recommend the place.
