Habitation Bioche

We spent nine days at Villa Elisha, "Habitation Bioche," and left with wonderful memories. Sitting around the large table on the breezy terrace overlooking the island, unwinding in the jacuzzi with its sea view, and napping on the swing to the sound of birds were all such joys. Each morning brought that remarkable horizon, the sea, and Les Saintes islands, along with immaculate lawns, magnificent trees, and a real sense of silence and serenity. The estate's setting is extraordinary, and the accommodation is luxurious and comfortable, furnished with great taste. Every room is beautiful, the bedding is high quality, and the amenities are top-notch. The decor feels like a "Maison du Monde" catalog, with poetic touches, quality natural materials, and a beautiful natural setting. The lawns and vegetation, the birdsong, and the tranquil surroundings made the whole stay feel enchanting and magical. The comfort of the rooms and exquisite decor made each day a pleasure. The place is absolutely beautiful, and the pool was a big plus in the hot weather. I also liked the layout and the very tasteful furniture. But the owner didn't welcome us or show us around when we arrived at 8 p.m., which still seems a reasonable time. We also found a few cockroaches in the apartment, where some areas had poor insulation and unfinished finishes.

The garden was well maintained and the beaches are close by, but those positives were overshadowed by our arrival. At 7 pm, with a baby, the owner told us there had been a booking error. We'd booked an apartment with a private pool but were sent to a bungalow that didn't suit us. The owner had known about the mistake for a week and only told us when we arrived. That left us scrambling to find somewhere else at the last minute. More proactive communication could have avoided this. I hope the owner improves their booking management so future guests have a better experience.
