La Rose du Bresil Marie-Galante

We felt at home very quickly, and the residence was pleasant and quiet. Our accommodation was spotless and ready when we arrived at 10:00 AM, which was a real bonus. We had a wonderful night here as a family. Before we arrived, communication was clear, detailed, and very helpful, so it was easy to plan our stay. The welcome was warm, with lots of smiles and kindness. We left with lovely memories and highly recommend the place.

La Rose du Brésil felt like a little oasis, with our suite tucked among greenery, a lovely pool, and generous, delicious breakfasts. It’s close to the road and to some beautiful beaches, and renting a scooter is a great way to explore the island and nearby areas. The owner was so friendly, and we loved chatting with her and cuddling her cats and dogs. A big thank you to her and everyone who made our stay so welcoming and peaceful. Marie-Galante itself is beautiful, tranquil, not very touristy, and full of lush nature and varied, stunning landscapes. I highly recommend spending a few days there and staying at La Rose du Brésil.

The room, welcome, and surroundings were all top-notch, and the food was excellent. The service was also very good, though the lobster portion was too small. The New Year’s Eve dinner left a bad taste for us. We’d paid for the menu, and the owner asked us that morning what we wanted to eat, but we still had to pay for drinks. There was a complimentary glass of champagne, but only water on the table, with no juice for either the adults or the children. Even wine cost extra, though after the meal we were offered a glass and the price was fair, since there were more expensive options. I know the response may be that it’s a restaurant and drinks are extra. But this was a celebration, and the New Year’s Eve menu wasn’t even mentioned on the menu. If the ingredients weren’t available, they shouldn’t have offered that menu, even if it was put together at the last minute. You’d offered this before, in other reviews and before and during... The fishermen know you, and others do too. Not offering even a juice with the meal, then charging for drinks if a customer wanted more, didn’t sit right with us. There’s a saying: you do the customer a service, and they pay for it. Otherwise, the room, welcome, and setting were very good, but really...

We stayed in the Café Duo, the smallest room, and it was just right for us since we were out all day and mainly needed somewhere to sleep. The staff were welcoming and friendly. A fantastic stay, nothing to complain about.
