Les Pommes d'Or

We were there for a birthday and didn't stay in the rooms, but the setting was lovely. There's a kitchen, a barbecue area, and a football stadium just across the street. Finding the place with GPS was tricky, so follow the "gîte" sign; it's right beside the café.

The owners gave us an exceptional welcome. It's a peaceful cottage with everything needed for a pleasant stay, and would work well for a get-together with family or friends.

There are lovely marked walks through the quiet countryside nearby. We stayed in this former train station, now comfortably furnished with five bedrooms, comfortable beds, and a private bathroom in each. The kitchen is well equipped for groups of up to 16, and the host is friendly and helpful. The living room feels less inviting, though. Highly recommend it for a group weekend.

The building is beautiful, an old train station, but the interior feels quite dated, especially the bathrooms, and there's no cozy place to sit. The kitchen has been nicely renovated, though it's cramped and only fits three people at a time. You can sit outside, but it's beside a café with lots of cars passing by, which feels dangerous for small children and dogs.
