We had both dinner and breakfast, and each meal was very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our stay was pleasant. The hotel sits in lovely grounds and is an impressive building with plenty of history. Some of the decor looked a little tired, but I’d still recommend a stay.

We stopped here with our fur babies on the way back to the tunnel. The place was clean and friendly, and I even got to practice my bad French while I’m learning. We enjoyed our meal in the lovely restaurant, and we’ll definitely stop again on a future trip to or from the tunnel.

The restaurant was the highlight for us. The food was absolutely fantastic, so good that we ate there both nights even though we’d seen plenty of other restaurants nearby. I loved the hotel and its lush grounds, and the staff were very, very helpful. The rooms were tiny, though. We were only in ours for half an hour before bed, then got up and went straight out. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable.

The staff were wonderful, and the grounds and old building have a lot of character. I was a little unsure when I first saw the place, but it quickly grew on me. Our room was small but clean, and the food was simple and cheap. The building has an interesting history, too. One small thing: the toilets use narrow pipes, so flushing is a bit noisy.
