Chez Isa et Dens

We got more than fair value for the money here, and I’d happily recommend this B&B. The welcome was excellent, the location very quiet, and our room was spotless with tasteful decor. The bathroom was huge.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We had to cancel because of an unavoidable hospitalization, but the owner refused the cancellation. They had offered to reschedule, then didn’t keep that promise. In the end, we were charged for all three nights with no compensation. The owner wasn’t always pleasant on the phone, and didn’t keep their word. We were offered another chance to move the dates, but eventually declined.

The double bed was very comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were tastefully furnished. But the room next door was separated by just a thin wall and a door, so we could hear every word, though we didn’t understand the language. There was no ventilation; the only option was to open the door, which didn’t feel right for sleeping. The air was very dry, with the air conditioning working hard to heat the room. It’s a place in the middle of nowhere. We had to go into town for dinner, and could have stayed there instead. We were only passing through in March, so couldn’t use the pool. We won’t be back next year.

Isa and Dens made us feel welcome with their warm, straightforward hospitality. After eight hours on the road, the heated pool was just what we needed to unwind. The garden was beautifully kept, with a little Zen corner, ping-pong, and boules, all of which we enjoyed. Our room was clean and tastefully decorated, too. Thanks again to our hosts. We’d gladly come back if we’re in the area, and I highly recommend the place.
