The owner was pleasant, but the house really needs better cleaning. The bathroom and toilet are shared with the other residents, and when we arrived there was a gurnard in the toilet. The shower was in a deplorable state. Cleanliness elsewhere was only just acceptable. Breakfast was basic, with no yogurt and very weak coffee. At €40, I’d rather pay a few extra euros for a hotel chain.

The house was quiet, with a view over the village, and the owner welcomed us warmly. He shared advice for getting to Angoulême and gave us a hiking map for the village area. Breakfast was plentiful and suited him well. Thank you.

The gentleman was warm and welcoming, and very attentive. He handled things quickly and efficiently, while keeping the cost reasonable. He was top-notch and deserved an excellence award. Thanks for everything.

We found the location fantastic, and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. This is where we’ll stay overnight on our next trip to Spain and on the way back.

Out in the countryside, it’s a very pretty place, and we received a really warm welcome.
