I’ve been staying here since 2015, and it used to be fine when the all-inclusive rooms were €40. I was disappointed on this visit. The room cost €20 a night, but there was no TV or wardrobe, and the toilet across from my room smelled strongly of urine. The bathroom was filthy and cockroaches were all over the room. I asked for my money back, got the refund, and left.
I booked this for a friend and really regret it. The street felt unsafe, the place was depressing, there were bad smells, and no bath towels. Look closely at the photos and you can make out how dirty and run-down it is. Being friendly doesn’t make it acceptable to treat a customer like this. Avoid it at all costs, the Paris sewer rat hotel!
The staff were genuinely helpful and kept the place clean, but for €50 I’d look elsewhere. Getting there was a mess, down a narrow one-way alley that delivery trucks sometimes block, with nowhere to park. We had to climb two floors because there’s no lift, so don’t bring big bags. The toilet is out on the landing. In the room, the only light was a wall lamp, and its switches didn’t work. The sink and only mirror were cracked, and the shower leaked and had no hot water. Outside, we looked at rotten shutters and a garbage can. The whole stay felt like being in a San Antonio thriller.
Good value for an affordable price. The hotel was clean, with a TV and heating in the room. The shower and toilet were out on the landing.
