I wanted to give my mother a lovely Marseille weekend before I left for five years in the French West Indies. She came all the way from Brittany, and instead this turned into a complete disaster. I feel wronged and will never go back. I strongly advise people to avoid this place. For a group that owns several establishments in Marseille, treating customers this way is unacceptable. The service was chaotic. Servers kept going to the wrong table, forgot our order, and didn't apologize. The food was mediocre for the prices, and even a small 25cl Pepsi cost €4.70. Then the bill came to €507 instead of €169. The restaurant refused to fix the huge error and blamed me. My account was debited, leaving me €350 out of pocket and €120 in overdraft fees because I unexpectedly went over my credit limit. There was no apology, only threats, arrogance, disrespect, and aggression. Five people stood facing me and said they had no solution.

We ordered room service from the restaurant menu, including tuna belly carpaccio and a huge profiterole with dulce de leche chocolate sauce. That dessert was easily one of the best I've ever had. We also stayed one night in the “terrace” room, which was practical and had a lovely terrace overlooking the Vallon des Auffes.

We still had a lovely weekend, and the room and terrace were really nice. But the shower had no door or curtain, so the bathroom flooded even when we were careful. The TV didn't work, and neither did the pod coffee maker, kettle, or tea. Sound carried freely too, as the room wasn't soundproofed.
