Villa Yvonne - Maisons de Marseille

The unit was lovely, neat, and generally clean, but the shower was discolored and needed a deep clean. The toilet sounded like it kept running for long stretches. We were on the fourth floor, which was hard to manage with luggage, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out during the day. We tried to contact the property manager while we were there but got no answer.

The hotel was good value, clean, and close to the train and attractions, with a lovely terrace out back. It looks to be Spanish style, and service was good despite being visibly absent. The Wi-Fi asking for a password every five minutes was extremely annoying. The street itself was less appealing, with heavy graffiti, sex trade workers, garbage everywhere, and the odd dead rat. It looked like some effort was being made to clean up the area, so check before you go. I can't complain much about the hotel itself. Ps. Bring toilet paper.

A comfortable double bed and sleeper couch, plus a TV, made for a good stay. The apartment was very clean and good value for money. The bathroom was great, and towels were provided. The kitchen had a fridge, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine.

A great place to stay in Marseille. It's very close to the main station and Cours Julien, yet still quiet enough to relax and play boule in the garden.
