The location worked well for us because we had a car, and the area was quiet. Our suite mattress was large and comfortable. But the hotel looked much better in the photos than it felt in person. The corridors had dirty, poorly kept carpeting, the room lighting was poor, and cleanliness was a serious problem. Housekeeping seemed to come in only to straighten the bed and refill the gel and shampoo bottles. We found dampness and dead insects stuck to the wall in our first room, so we asked to move. They put us in a suite for the first day without charge, then charged us for the remaining days. That room was no better: the sheets and towels were dirty, and there was no real cleaning. They also said they'd fill the minibar, but it still hadn't happened by the time we were at the airport. The place needs repainting and a proper cleaning crew. If you don't mind the cleanliness, it may suit you for a quiet rest, but without a car it's far from everything.

I had a good time walking around the city, with pubs nearby. The friendly staff and very nice French restaurant made this one of the best places in France for a seafarer like me to sign off.

We loved our room and the friendly staff, and the hotel has a lovely view over Martigues. Getting around was easy for us: the bus station is a 10-minute walk away if you aren't driving. The location also made it accessible from Marseille and French Riviera beaches like St. Croix and Provence. We hope to visit again.

The hotel sits up on a hill, close to the city, with great views. I really liked the outdoor restaurant, where you can eat while taking in the scenery. For a trip to Marseillez, there's a bus from a station called Police something. It's a maximum of an 8-minute walk from the hotel, and the ride costs 7.5 EUROS.
