The hotel was locked when I arrived for the Sunday stay I’d booked online. A sign said nobody was there, and nobody answered when I called the number on it. I left a message but never got a call back. There’d been no warning that the hotel was closed on Sundays, yet they still charged me for the room. Connect Hotels didn’t reply or refund me either, so I reported it to my credit card company, which credited the amount I considered fraudulent. Looking at the place, maybe I should be glad I never stayed there. It looked like a flop house. Stay away, these people are thieves.

The room was freezing, with none of the basic comforts, and a nauseating smell gave us headaches. Breakfast was nonexistent and appalling. The owner was aggressive and dismissive, with no respect for us. A disastrous, thoroughly unpleasant stay from start to finish. Absolutely avoid this place.

The generous breakfast and the chef’s almond tart were a real highlight. We were warmly welcomed by Virginie, who was always smiling. Our ground-floor room opened onto the garden and was very pleasant, with a bed that was especially comfortable for my back. They provided a hairdryer and excellent shower gel for both body and hair. The hotel is close to the city center, and it worked well for either a 15-day stay or just one night.
