It’s a lovely place to sit on the terrace right beside the Loire, and the food was good. I didn’t see the rooms. I’d rate it four stars only because some of the terrace wood seemed dodgy and I’m not keen on the black plastic chairs. Still, it’s a very nice spot and I highly recommend it.

We stopped for one night while cycling the Loire a Velo. The food in the restaurant was superb, and breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. The rooms were small, but warm, clean and had nice river views. Bike storage was great. Highly recommended.

What a great surprise while traveling on La Loire. The local family who runs the place adds to its appeal. The chef is magnificent, the food is great, and the service is gentle and charming. This is a stop you shouldn’t miss.

I called late in the afternoon to reserve a table for that evening and was told they were fully booked. When we walked by around 8:15 pm, there were only three or four occupied tables, so we went in and asked. We were then told a table was no problem. We’d already eaten at the only other nearby place, which was awful, and ended up feeling very angry at the owner’s attitude. A third party had led me to believe the owner had a reputation for doing this. Great attitude!

We had a good meal of French food at a fair price. This is small-town French hotel hospitality at its best: simple, good value and nice people.
