The central location was handy, and I walked around town, though there’s nothing much to write home about. The people at the front desk and convenience store downstairs were very nice. I’d like to support a family business, but after reading their replies to negative reviews, I’m not sure how genuine that friendliness is. I’m left wondering whether some positive reviews were paid for. The room was really dirty, with stains everywhere, even on the sheets. Its condition was very poor, and it felt as though nobody had put effort into keeping it clean or doing basic upkeep. The paint needed attention, the unpleasant office-style carpet could have been replaced with laminate, and even the light fixture wasn’t installed properly. These are things a family could handle without hiring a professional. It was depressing, almost worse than the worst hostel I’ve stayed in, and we felt duped. I have no idea why this place has any good reviews. It really is bad.

A great hotel beside a lovely square. The rooms are nice and the service is very friendly. I recommend it....

The staff were really kind, and the location was great, but the condition of the place was hard to overlook. There were blood marks on the sheets, stains on the walls, a dirty fridge, and carpet coming loose. The ceiling light had wiring connectors exposed, and paint was peeling off the door. The decor was very plain and did nothing to brighten the place. I also noticed a cigarette smell inside the building. Sorry, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The owner was very nice, and the price was quite reasonable. It’s a small hotel right in the town center, so the location is excellent.

I’d still give it four stars, even with a room that had no window. The breakfast could be better, though.
