Hôtel Restaurant Le Plaisance

A really welcoming place, with a very professional boss. The rooms are spacious and luxurious, and the food service is exemplary. Even the chips and peanuts were spot on. The aperitif was inexpensive. Highly recommend it.

The dining room felt dark and dirty, and the products didn't seem fresh. Our daughter's ice cream was half melted and had arrived squashed in its packaging. Half the menu was unavailable, too. I get the impression the bar is the main focus, and it seems to be doing much better.

We paid €40 for lunch for two, including a half-bottle of rosé and no coffee. The set menu came with a steak so tough it was like shoe leather, salad, fries, and chocolate cake. The chocolate crepe advertised in the window wasn't available. We went in at 12:10 PM, and as people from Aveyron, we found the meal outrageous. The owners smoke in the bar in public, too. We'll tell everyone we know in Decazeville about this restaurant, but we won't be back or make any more comments. There are so many other places around here, and I regret choosing this one. I'm convinced it'll be closed by 2024.

After more than 45 minutes of interminable waiting and such unfriendly service, we gave up without ever getting a taste of the restaurant's food. If you're looking to make yourself suffer in this beautiful village, this is the place for you. Good luck.
