VVF Villages Mauvezin

The place was really dirty, with cobwebs and spiders all over the house, cockroaches too, and what looked like pee marks on the blankets. We asked to move somewhere else, but that place was in the same condition. Apparently we don’t have the same idea of what clean means, lol. When we got home and complained, they wouldn’t listen because they’d offered us another place, even though it was just as bad as the first. Really avoid it. I’d post photos so you could see what the place was like, but I can’t.

I booked a stay from Friday, August 15th to Monday, August 18th, for €600. When we arrived and picked up the keys, the apartment was in a disastrously dirty state. It was like a jungle, with spiders and cobwebs everywhere and unidentified pests, including cockroaches, on the walls, floor, and curtains. The sheets were filthy too, with what looked like urine stains, though we don’t know for sure. Photos show the condition. They offered to move us to another apartment they said was cleaner, but we chose to leave because of the state of the original one. At 8 PM on August 15th, we had to find a hotel for 10 people, which was nearly impossible. After almost two hours of searching, we finally found a room for €330. For the price, this was unacceptable. I absolutely don’t recommend this place. Run away!

The staff responded quickly to guests’ requests, and the pitches are near the town centre and all the amenities. It was a fantastic family holiday at VVF. The accommodation options are varied, well equipped, and clean. Air conditioning is the one thing that would have made them perfect.

The accommodation itself was fine, but the courtyard is shared by all six units, so how it goes may depend on your neighbours. The layout is unusual, with accommodation scattered around the village. With temperatures reaching 36°C, it was unacceptable that holidaymakers at VVF couldn’t use the municipal swimming pool before June 21st, even though it was open to schools. That shows little consideration for VVF holidaymakers. I don’t recommend this place.
