The spot beside the river in Mayenne is peaceful and amazing. The furniture isn’t modern, but the room is clean and neat. Plan around the restaurant being closed on Sundays and Mondays.

We felt valued, and the service was really good. Our waiter was attentive, cheerful and funny. We had one of the set menus, and the food was fantastic. The recommended wine was lovely and still reasonably priced. It was quiet, mainly because of the time of year. We’d highly recommend visiting this beautiful restaurant for a special occasion.

We chose the more expensive 41E90 menu, and every course was excellent, from the foie gras/smoked ham salad and crevette & tomato risotto/seafood chowder to the magret/beef, local cheese board and desserts, especially the fabulous tarte tartin. The ingredients were first class and everything was cooked to perfection. We’ll certainly return, and highly recommend it. We’d reserved for Sunday lunch on our host’s recommendation. The restaurant sits beside the river Mayenne, with a terrace offering magnificent views. The welcome was warm, and the service was friendly and informative throughout.

I stopped for one night on a business trip. Reception was closed, but they got me the entrance code along with my room number. Everything was OK.
