Breakfast was unforgettable, with fresh bread, pastries and all the accompaniments, and the value for money is hard to beat. Un Parfum de Campagne is also a great base for battlefield visits, especially Vimy Ridge. The rooms are spotless, peaceful and beautifully decorated, with interiors that felt better than some five-star boutique hotels. I slept perfectly. Most of all, the host made us feel cared for from the moment we arrived. She’s warm, kind and does everything she can for you. She’s a star. I could happily come back and live here. If you’re thinking of staying in the area, just book it. You’ll be delighted.

We were there in May as a family of four, and the location worked perfectly for our Australian and Canadian World War One tours. Muriel’s rooms were lovely, her hosting was kind, and the breakfasts were amazing. We’d love to visit again and would definitely recommend it.

We’re already planning another visit. Muriel was so cheerful when we arrived and treated us like family. The room was amazing, and the food was the best. We even asked if we could move in and have her look after us! 😂 Merci beaucoup Muriel!

The grounds were beautiful, and breakfast was superb. Our room was spacious, clean and had a homely feel. WiFi and Netflix were available too.

We had a key and could come and go whenever we liked, so our concern that leaving and returning during the day might be a problem turned out to be unfounded. Muriel was also very accommodating when we got back from the Anzac Day service after breakfast time. She still had a wonderful spread ready for us. Our room was beautifully decorated, very spacious and scrupulously clean, and the bed was comfortable. The Continental breakfast was carefully prepared with lots of local products. The baguette and jams were to die for. Muriel is delightful and helpful, and this has to be the best value B&B I’ve stayed in. I wish she’d open a place like this near my home in Perth!
