The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. From the moment we arrived, all the staff were kind and gave us a warm welcome. The service was professional and quick, and we felt well looked after throughout. A lovely stay in every way. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and stay here again.

The shuttle drivers were a real highlight, both helpful and full of energy. Miloud deserves a shout-out for his great positive vibe. The shuttle itself is a lovely touch, taking you into the center of Megève and to the ski lifts. The place is beautiful and decorated really nicely. Reception, though, often fell short of what you’d expect from a four-star hotel. I know not everyone there is at fault and some people are clearly trying, but reception shapes that first impression and can put you in a bad mood on arrival. I also agree with other reviewers about the spa: it looks nice, but the sauna and hammam were literally cold.

The food at the restaurant wasn’t good, and the rest of the stay felt mediocre too. Our room was a bit scuffed, the spa was very basic, and the sauna barely warmed up. It was also poorly insulated. The shuttle was extremely unreliable, as other reviews have said. We waited as long as an hour for it to show up. When we were leaving, three staff members were at the entrance, but none offered to help with our luggage. They all rushed to assist someone arriving in an expensive car. I don’t understand why three people were needed for one new arrival when not even one could help us. For the price, it doesn’t live up to the four stars or its 4.5 Google Maps rating.

Jean is a pleasant restaurant, and the manager gave us a friendly welcome. The rest of the meal was good, and we liked the surroundings, but the evening was spoiled by the service and a problem with one dish. Our burger arrived cold in the middle, not just a little cool. We asked to have it reheated, but it came back the same way. It took a second reheating before it was warm enough to eat. Each time, the same burger was returned partly eaten, which made us think it had been microwaved rather than cooked in a pan. Things like this can happen, but our server never apologized. When we asked why the burger was still on the bill, she looked unhappy and went to get the manager. They removed it, but she remained neither friendly nor apologetic. The order had also been slow and a bit chaotic, with several items arriving incorrectly.
