Les Loges Blanches

After the long journey, this turned into a pretty terrible experience. I stayed somewhere else, having left the property without further discussion. The next day I told them I hadn’t used the room and asked for a refund, but they refused, and not politely. My “stay” was from 25 March to 26 March. The hotel looked rather dated, though I was greeted very politely. A few minutes after entering my room, I noticed a sewage and cigarette smell that someone had tried to cover with a strong scented air freshener. Before I’d said anything, a man knocked with a spray scent and told me the room smelled and maybe I needed it sprayed. So they knew about the smell and gave me the room anyway. I went to reception, explained the problem, and they apologized and moved me. About five minutes in the new room, I found it didn’t smell of sewage but absolutely stank of cigarettes. I understand many people don’t mind cigarette smoke. Lucky you.

Being next to some cable cars is a nice location perk. But we were confused when the restaurant refused to serve us dinner at 7:30 pm on Saturday, right after we arrived, even though there were people inside. Breakfast had very little choice, and the team started cleaning the tables with some acid ten minutes before breakfast ended.

The rooms were cosy and comfortable, with a good-sized bedroom and bathroom, and you can even cook in your room. They were a bit cold at night, though, and we couldn’t control the heating. We stayed in December 2024 and had an amazing time. The location is great, close to town and the ski lifts, and the staff were always friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and very good, and they even provided gluten-free bread for me. I really recommend staying here. Thank you for the hospitality, we’ll be back one day.

For 700€ a night, I expected more. The staff were friendly, breakfast was good, and the parking and ski shop setup was very convenient, with shuttles into town and to the slopes. Some details, like the soap and bedsheets, were good, but several things in our room were quite run-down. For a hotel claiming four stars, it needs to put more into repairs and maintenance. It felt like a lower-class hotel had been upgraded with minimal investment.
