Novotel Megève Mont-Blanc

The room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully prepared, and the hotel is close to everything while still feeling peaceful. What really stood out was the reception team’s warmth and readiness to help. They even arranged lovely decorations and a card for our wedding anniversary, which meant a lot to us. It was a wonderful stay, with generous hospitality and elegant touches. Highly recommended for comfort and a great location in Megève.

We had to wait two hours for our room even though we arrived at the official check-in time. No proper apology or compensation was offered. Access to the rooms also depended on paying a very high security deposit per person, which hadn’t been clearly explained in advance and felt excessive and unreasonable. The advertised pool was misleading too. It’s an external club about a five-minute walk away, not inside the hotel, and felt more like a dull university lobby than a proper leisure facility. We were turned away because of its dress code, which nobody at the hotel had told us about. When we went back to ask, the receptionist sarcastically said, “Oh, you were supposed to know,” and laughed at us. She showed no interest in helping or taking responsibility, and acted as if it was our fault. The rooms were underwhelming, closer to substandard than acceptable, and didn’t match the impression online. Staff were cold, dismissive, and unprofessional from the start, with little respect or basic courtesy. Poor communication, misleading advertising, and a lack of transparency made this one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting honesty, quality, or basic hospitality.

Fathi made us feel so welcome and comfortable. He was one of the kindest, most helpful people we met, and went out of his way to take care of what we needed, even calling our driver to make sure the pickup was arranged smoothly. I’m not sure of his exact role, but he’s a real credit to Novotel. Everything about our stay at Novotel Mont-Blanc was great, and his service made it even better. We’ll remember the experience and come back. Thank you, Fathi.

The team gave us genuine five-star service throughout our stay at Novotel Megève. A big thank you to Fetty, if I’ve got the spelling right, for returning our ski rentals for us so we wouldn’t miss our flight. We’re also grateful to the gentleman who checked us in. I’m sorry we didn’t catch his name, but he was warm and welcoming, arranged a surprise horse and carriage tour around town, and made sure we got our Accor silver member welcome drinks when they weren’t showing in the app. The hotel was fantastic, and the staff made the stay special. We’ll definitely return.
