The setting is beautiful, and you could pair a visit with a hike to cascades des herisson. We went with three little kids, fed and petted the animals, then had a pleasant walk around the park. Afterward we rested and ate at the tables by the river near the entrance. A great spot for a family day out.

Even on a really hot day, we found shady spots for both visitors and animals, and the huge turquoise lake right beside the park looked beautiful. The alpacas and baby goats were delightful, and we got generous portions of animal feed. There were interesting facts about bison and animal care and protection. It felt spacious rather than like a zoo. We also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, with the attached Auberge and a group of women passing through on a horse riding holiday. The staff were very helpful. We visited with children aged 7 and 11 and really enjoyed it.

Being so close to the animals made the whole visit easy, since they all seemed to have good temperaments from what we saw. My 1 year old was more excited than I've ever seen him, so top marks for that.

It’s bigger than it looks as you approach, though still a small, nice park. We had about an hour or two of fun there. Being near the falls makes it easy to combine the two visits.

We had a wonderful time here with the kids, feeding the animals and even taking a pony ride. The people were very friendly and spoke English too, and the prices were very reasonable.
