Claridge's

The owner was incredibly patient and helpful while we were in a difficult situation. The kindness felt genuine, not just like the easy thing to do. Despite the place’s imperfections, we felt very well looked after. The room was super clean, with fresh sheets and pillowcases, new, absorbent towels and no chemical smell. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. The location is hard to beat: one minute on foot from the train and bus station, with an Asian buffet restaurant next door. Carrefour supermarket, the park, beach, cafes and restaurants are all within a two-minute walk. The price was reasonable for everything.

It’s a clean, pleasant ⭐⭐ hotel, not an especially fancy place, just like the two stars in the title suggest. The people there were super nice, and the man at the desk, who I assume is the owner, was absolutely lovely. We’re used to lots of air-conditioning, so our room felt a little hot. The bathrooms were extremely clean.

The owners are lovely and very helpful. The hotel itself feels tired and needs an overhaul, but with its great location, it’s reasonably priced for a 2 star place.

I had a great experience here 4 years ago. I’ll be back this summer.
