We explored the surrounding area on foot, since the hotel sits in a park in central Menton. Inside, it's all modern, though the renovation kept a couple of turn-of-the-century touches: the historic revolving door at the entrance and the Art Nouveau glass roof above it. The stay was very pleasant. We didn't have breakfast or dinner.

The reception team were especially courteous and helpful, and parking in the autosilo was convenient and efficient. We stayed for three days and had a positive experience overall. The property is spacious, with two parking areas and a swimming pool, and booking through Booking.com was quick and easy. Though the hotel shows some age, it's well maintained; our room was comfortable and adequately soundproofed. There was no minibar, a minor drawback that didn't make much difference to the stay. Breakfast was satisfactory, with a good savory selection, though sweet options could be better. A few improvements could make the stay more enjoyable.
The location is wonderful and the hotel is lovely, with comfortable rooms and easy parking. Just make sure your room is above floor 1. Ours faced the restaurant, and noisy guests at breakfast and evening meal kept us awake and woke us up.
I left feeling extremely uncomfortable after a deeply disappointing stay. There was no kindness or effort to make us feel welcome, and the way the manager responded to me later was especially upsetting. I'd briefly asked if someone at reception could keep an eye on my son for a few seconds while I put milk in the baggage row just a few steps away. There were no customers needing attention then and several staff were free. Nobody said anything at the time, but when I raised the lack of support with the manager, the blond lady, she reacted defensively, rudely and inappropriately, blaming me for asking staff to 'help' even for a few seconds. Her comment about my son showed a total lack of customer care and, frankly, deep disrespect. It's unacceptable and reflects very poorly on management. We'd arrived with a pram and baby, but both lifts were out of order. No one offered to help or even apologized. They just said, 'You can take the stairs.' The reception and restaurant staff were unacceptable from the start, especially Joana at the front desk. She didn't smile or welcome us, and made us feel like a bother rather than a priority. At the restaurant, nobody knew how to use the microwave and no one seemed interested in helping. This was not the 'wow' experience you'd expect from a hospitality team.
The room was very dirty and had such a horrible smell I couldn't sleep. Noise came straight through the walls and door, even footsteps in the corridor at night. The safe in the room was broken, there was no minibar, and they hadn't even provided a bottle of water. When we asked for one at the lobby in the evening, the receptionist refused and said the hotel had no water at all. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. A terrible experience.
