Apartment Cembros 31

We got the key after arriving to find nobody there. In apartment number 2, the sheets and pillows were tossed around, the kitchen was dirty, and the bathroom was even worse. There were three of us and only one towel. Another one was under the sink, stained with blood. We left without spending the night.

I booked apartment #2 at Les Cembros, Chemin des Jonquilles for two nights, from September 30th to October 2nd, 2023, and felt scammed. Booking.com showed it as available, took my non-refundable payment, and then confirmed when the owner would meet me. When I got to Méribel on Saturday afternoon, I called the owner around ten times but only got an answering machine asking me to leave a message. The studio was locked, so I was left outside. By nightfall I had to urgently find a hotel in Méribel, which cost much more. I tried contacting the owner again by text and phone over the following days, but got no reply. I still haven’t received an explanation or apology. I can only hope Booking will refund me. Lesson learned: speak to an actual person on the phone before setting off, don’t rely on automated booking systems, and above all, don’t book this Cembros 2 apartment in Méribel Mottaret!

A top-notch residence right by the slopes. You can ski straight from the door and back to it.
