La Taverne

I left feeling uncomfortable after seeing how a woman was treated at the door. On New Year's Eve, I saw a staff member, who I think was the manager, act aggressively toward a female customer. The entry charge also seemed inconsistent: some people paid 10€ in cash, while others appeared to be friends. Customer service really brought down the atmosphere, and it wasn't what I'd expect from a well-known bar dealing with holiday visitors. I wouldn't recommend it.

Finding vegan food on a ski holiday can be tricky, but La Taverne had several options. We went for a vegan feta salad and lentil ragu with vegan Parmesan, and there was also a veggie burger we could have chosen. The food was delicious and the service was great. Staying later for the live band would be a nice idea too. We'd recommend it.

Connor's a top bloke, and the rest of the team are doing a great job right in the middle of the action. Best Guinness in Meribel. Cheers!

We stopped for a quick lunch during a hike. I really liked my salad, while the others had burgers that were a solid 7/10. The bun had a slightly odd texture, and the bacon jam was very sweet. The staff were friendly and attentive, and prices seemed pretty reasonable for this part of the world. Three meals with beer came to €75.
