Vanoise

It’s a lovely residence with attractive prices, but it isn’t very practical. The entrance is on level -2 and the ski room is on level zero, so getting to the residence on skis is difficult.

It’s a quiet, clean, and spacious residence, ideal for a ski holiday. The place is beautiful, with a large balcony, and sits between two ski lifts called Les Chalets.

The kitchen is very well equipped: two burners, a stove, fridge, dishwasher, oven, toaster, kettle, and filter coffee machine. Somehow there are only two cups. The large balconies are handy for chilling drinks, and there’s a grocery store 350 metres uphill. It’s a clean, warm, seven-story cottage with lovely views from the windows. Getting to the ski slopes means a slight uphill hike of about 150 metres. Coming back, if there’s enough snow, you can ski right to the door. There’s a spacious, warm ski room on the return level, but nowhere for boots.

There’s no staff to talk to. Reaching the slopes takes a 7-10 minute walk through the neighbouring hotel, and the shops are 15-20 minutes away. The apartment photos on booking match what you get. Everything is compact and fairly comfortable.
