The garden could use some attention, but there’s a lovely pool for hot summer days. Inside, the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the bed and fluffy pillows made for a great night’s sleep. The hostess is friendly and makes breakfast in her kitchen. It’s a peaceful neighbourhood and a place I’d highly recommend.

The breakfasts are what made this winter stay so special: fresh fruit, pastries, and crepes from the hostess’s family recipe, all served with plenty of smiles and laughter. I left feeling like I’d made a friend. The place has a luxurious but quaint feel, very much my kind of French. Its modern interior shows a decorator’s attention to detail, and it’s conveniently close to markets, parks, and downtown Bordeaux. At night, we could unwind in the spa or sit by a roaring fire in the living area on a rainy Bordeaux evening. I can’t wait to try this bed and breakfast in summer.

The host was kind, gracious, and helpful, and her breakfasts were delicious. There’s also a great dog that adds to the visit. It’s a lovely, peaceful place to stay while visiting Bordeaux, and I highly recommend it.

The owner is very friendly and speaks English and French, plus some Spanish. There’s also a lovely little pool and a very friendly German shepherd.
