Domaine de la Licorne

We stayed at Domaine de Roscalet on August 15th and 16th, 2019, and came away delighted. We were made to feel like part of the family, and having our hosts join us for meals and breakfast was a real pleasure. We also heard lots of fascinating things about the region and Breton traditions, plus places to visit. The guest rooms are superb, and the welcome was exceptional. I’d read some mixed reviews beforehand, but those who claim otherwise should keep quiet. A big thank you, we’d happily come back. Ludovic Cottet

The host was friendly and pleasant, but we were left to fend for ourselves the evening we ate there. Our meal, included in a box, had no appetizer or starter. The main was sliced chicken with rice and Romanesco cabbage that had rotten pieces in it, followed by an indescribable cream dessert. The meal didn’t match the description in the rooms, and the quality was disappointing. There were no natural or local Breton products, everything was industrial. We were very disappointed with our stay and definitely won’t return. I highly recommend this guesthouse...

We loved seeing all the animals around the estate during our two days there. Valérie welcomed us so warmly that we felt like friends, and dinner was made with produce from the property. The room was comfortable, too. It’s a lovely, peaceful place surrounded by nature.

The hosts were friendly and attentive, which made the stay pleasant. The house sits in a charming, quiet spot, away from things, and the rooms are comfortable. There are more animals than people around, including cats, dogs, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, and geese. They aren’t shy at all, so curious kids will love them.
