The first conversation was pleasant, but after that things went downhill. They couldn't keep an appointment for a simple viewing, so we made the trip for nothing. Once they realized we were asking about renting the place for a gay wedding, they became especially rude. We were very disappointed by how unprofessional they were. Definitely a no for us.

The place is lovely for photos and gives you a real taste of the countryside, though it's quite far from everything. The people were really nice and gave us a warm welcome. Our room, with its old stone walls, was cold even though it was hot outside. I assume it may stay at that temperature in winter too. There's no WiFi, and be prepared to pay the full price without breakfast.

Really good.

The Moulin du Moulignon has real potential as a venue, and the estate is charming, with its watermill and rustic rooms with stone walls. But the upkeep and management left a lot to be desired. There were holes in the bed linens, no breakfast, and nobody to meet us when we arrived or left to hand over the keys. We had to pay in cash for the rooms and any accommodations we needed. After cleaning up, there were no skips to leave our rubbish in, so we had to take it home. I suspect the mill's address may be unknown to the waste collection service. The problems started after the booking. The manager, Ms. Christina, was all smiles and promises to cooperate at first, then became brusque and nonchalant. As our event got closer, the agreed times weren't being respected, and we were pressured to make the room available that day because another booking was supposedly coming up. After looking into it, we found that wasn't true. Ms. Christina didn't seem motivated to work in event planning or hospitality. Communication with clients and the service providers involved really needed more effort.

We got married at Salle Papillon on May 2nd. It's a remarkable, welcoming venue, surrounded by beautiful nature, and we highly recommend it. A big thank you to Ms. Gomes for being so attentive and kind. Thanks again, especially to her. The Merlin Family
