Motel Les Broussailles

We slept well, and the room was tidy and practical. The setting is cute, the price is good, breakfast was very good, and the wine was delicious. The main dishes were really disappointing, though the dessert was great. She had warned us that restaurant service wasn’t their job and that the meals weren’t homemade, and suggested restaurants about seven minutes away, so that was fine by me. I’d stop here again.

After a long day driving, it was a real bonus to be just two minutes from the highway, without having to wind through town centers or industrial areas. There’s a garden with picnic tables and chairs, plus two loungers for each room, and your parking spot is right in front of your unit. The owners have thought of the details guests might need, including a kettle, coffee and tea, a hairdryer, soap, and shower gel. It’s a surprising stop, a motel with a boutique hotel feel, and breakfast was up to the same high standard. The big chains could learn a thing or two here.

The owners were lovely, and breakfast with local products was great. We stayed at this lovely, newly renovated motel just off the A77. If you’re in the area, it’s worth considering a stay here.

We’ve already booked a stay here for the return trip. The bed was comfortable, breakfast lovely, and the people friendly. It’s a really nice, convenient stop on the way to the south of France, and I’d highly recommend it.
