Breakfast, the pool, the views, and the wine available on the honor system all made this stay something special. Elsa helped us settle in and feel comfortable, and even called ahead to check that some of the smaller vineyards would be open before we headed out for the day. The location is ideal for enjoying the natural scenery, right by a gorge on a UNESCO heritage site and close to little villages and vineyards. By far the highlight of our trip to Provence. 100% recommend. Thanks, Metafort team!

We only stayed one night in “les étoiles,” but the bed that rolls out onto the terrace so you can sleep under the stars made it an experience of a lifetime. Elsa and Arnaud created such a welcoming atmosphere. For dinner, our hosts prepared a “plateau” of local and organic cheeses, meats, preserves and vegetables, and we paired it with local organic rosé. The views went on forever. Definitely don't miss this if you're visiting France.

We stayed in the under the stars suite, and being beside the person I love when we saw a shooting star was one of the best experiences of my life. The photos really don't capture it. Metafort sits in a gorge with magnificent views, and the grounds are stunning and exceptionally clean. We loved the food made with delicious local ingredients and fresh herbs grown on site. If we wanted something, they would make it for us. Elsa, Arnaud, their children and our favourite pal RAMBO (house dog) made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. They took care of every detail, kept in touch via whatsup, arranged transportation, recommended and reserved great restaurants, and gave us suggestions that suited both our travel styles. We remain so grateful and think of them often. The location is a little off the beaten path, so a rental car is recommended to reach the hotel and explore the region. Mountains, including the famous Mt.Ventoux, lavender fields, the land of ochre (Roussillon), chateaus and vineyards are all nearby. This hidden gem felt like home. The owners were warm and welcoming, and made me feel good throughout my stay. The cozy room and peaceful atmosphere made for a relaxing retreat.
