Chez Joséphine

We arrived late in the afternoon and were welcomed with cake and coffee, which was so nice. Josephine and her son are both really pleasant, and the welcome was very warm.

She offered us tea and coffee as soon as we arrived. Josephine is such a warm, welcoming person. We'd highly recommend staying there.

We felt at home straight away thanks to the warm welcome. One tip: call back a few days before, since Josephine had forgotten about our arrival, even though there were seven of us. She still welcomed us so warmly. She's a jovial 84-year-old grandmother who deserves to be better known, and we can easily forgive a few minor details.

The house was so cluttered there was barely room to put your feet, and the bedrooms and bathroom had clumps of dust, an unsanitary refrigerator, unmade beds, and masks in the trash cans. The photos speak for themselves. I can still smell that cold dust. A kind gentleman who was staying there showed us upstairs when we arrived, and the grandmother, who was otherwise very welcoming and friendly, greeted us like family. But her age showed when she thought we'd arrived the day before and had forgotten we were coming, even though it was written by hand on her calendar. I think this kind lady is too old to host guests.
