Studio Gare Metz Côté Cour

I’d give it zero stars if I could. This place was a disaster. The shower was a leaking pipe used as a showerhead, and there was mold on the shower walls. Outside the building, a homeless person went in at night, and the smell even came into the apartment. There was no key to properly secure the place. The only door that closed was a bedroom door, with just a latch and no lock. The property contact didn’t respond after two days. The kitchen utensils were dirty and unsuitable for the stovetop, so cooking wasn’t possible. There was an open box of cockroach repellent in the bed drawer, with brown drops of it all over the apartment. The dishwasher was open with food residue inside, and there was no hot water at the kitchen sink. A horrible stay. I waited a month for a reply to my refund request through Booking customer service, and got 30 euros back for the cleaning fee. It’s shameful and shows no consideration for customers.

Such a letdown. The place was dirty and badly maintained, and didn’t look like the photos. If that’s what you’re after, this is the place for you.

The studio was lovely, really comfortable, and had everything I needed. It’s practical and in an excellent location. I’d happily recommend it for a stay alone or as a couple, and I’ll definitely come back.

A lovely time shared together.
