The chalet’s setting was the best part for us: it’s beside the river, peaceful, and surrounded by green space where you can play volleyball or football. The accommodation itself was a letdown. The online photos don’t reflect how old the furniture is, and the sofa was so dirty we had to cover it with towels and sheets before sitting down. One chalet’s rooms and toilets were dark and gloomy, with furniture that badly needs replacing. Reception staff also didn’t respond warmly when we asked questions. And despite Booking.com saying internet was available, there was no Wi-Fi in the chalet.

The customer service was horrendous, especially from the person presented as the manager, “Guy,” who treated us very badly and showed no professionalism. The accommodation was dirty too: there was hair on the beds, bugs we had to kill, and no hand soap in the bathrooms. They also expect you to clean and do the housekeeping yourselves. The worst place I’ve ever stayed. Stay away.

You have to strip the beds, take all the towels and sheets to reception, which is a 20-minute walk, and take out the garbage. It feels like you’re paying to do all the work yourself, in a place that’s disgusting. The chalet was full of bugs, including in the beds, on the couches, and in the fridge. There was hair everywhere and the mattress was disgusting. The place isn’t kept clean or looked after. On top of all that, “Guy” at the front desk claimed he owns the whole campground, though with that attitude I seriously doubt it. The worst experience of my life. Do not stay here, go anywhere else.

The hills around the place make a lovely setting. The stay was nice, the restaurant was good, and there’s a temperature-controlled pool, plus a spa and jacuzzi.

Nothing looked like the pictures online, and the rooms weren’t clean. The furniture was unbelievably old and worn out. They wouldn’t even provide dishwasher tablets, which I’ve never encountered elsewhere, and there wasn’t any hand soap either. Very disappointing.
