Appart¿City Grenoble Meylan

The apartment was roomy and clean, with sheets, towels, and bottled water provided, and we appreciated getting late-arrival instructions by text. We could even put together a light meal. The stay was let down badly by the upstairs neighbors on Saturday night: a group celebrating a birthday kept shouting, singing, playing music, and scraping chairs across the tiles. We went up to ask for quiet at 2:00 AM, but the chair noise carried on into the early hours. We’d also contacted the central office at 1:00 AM, but nobody was there to help. Such a shame.

Once the windows were shut, we heard no noise, and the bedding was comfortable. The apartment was spotless, everything worked, and the staff were friendly without being intrusive. I’d happily recommend it.

The neighbors were the worst part, talking loudly and playing music while drinking beer all day and night. The place also looked straight onto the buildings opposite, and the cleanliness was poor. A nightmare, and I won’t be back.

The receptionist was attentive and really friendly, but that didn’t make up for the apartment. It was dirty, especially the windows, which were covered in hand and finger marks and so grimy you could barely see through them. The garden had cigarette butts and other rubbish, and the indoor table was being held up with paper napkins. There was no toilet, so it wasn’t practical. The garage door into the building was left open all the time with a shovel across it, which didn’t feel secure. Our first night was extremely noisy because people were inconsiderate of those trying to sleep. The second night was fine. A night security guard would be a plus. It’s a shame, since they could do better, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here long, and it doesn’t merit more than 2 stars.
