We took the short ferry ride for a relaxing day at this beautiful beach, and it was well worth it. The water was incredibly warm compared with the ocean-side beaches. There were families, younger couples, and high school-aged kids around. On the way to the beach, we found plenty of bars and restaurants, plus an ice cream shop. My wife and I came while visiting Sete. The one real downside is how salty the lake water is, and there isn't a public freshwater shower to rinse off. As I write this, my eyes are still burning.

The beaches by the port are idyllic, and there's a lovely harbor and town to explore on foot. The chateau and its gardens, which are used by the council, are worth visiting.

There are lots of bars and restaurants around the attractive marina. The seafood is exceptionally fresh, though beyond that the menu choices are mostly steak and pizza.
