Cit'Hotel Restaurant Bowling de Millau

I went on my own and skipped the bowling and arcade, though both looked great. They aren't connected directly to the hotel, so noise from them isn't something to worry about. I ate a burger and fries in the restaurant that evening, then had breakfast there too. Both were good, and the burger was filling. The room was clean and comfortable, with air-con, a fridge, free Wi-Fi, and parking. I was surprised in the best way. I'd been about to choose the Ibis Budget across the road because it cost the same and seemed like the safe, worry-free choice. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I wish my French had been less shocking so I could've been more courteous. I'd definitely stay again!

The dinner was delicious, and the welcome and service in the restaurant were excellent. The staff were so helpful that we wanted to leave a little extra, even though the tip and service tax were already included. Our room was clean, spacious, and ideal, with no outside noise. Breakfast was a very nice continental spread, self-service, and there was as much as you wanted.

The staff were friendly, and it was fun having a bowling and entertainment spot attached. I spent ages on the pinball machine for €2 and still left with five credits. The room was fine for a night's sleep on the road, but the food was a letdown. My girlfriend's carbonara was swimming in cream with cheap bacon, and my burger was overcooked, with rock-hard buns and tomato cut into wedges instead of slices. I saw the staff eating there too, so I was surprised they seemed okay with the food.

The beds were really comfortable, but it was very hot because the air conditioning kept cutting out. We arrived late and checked in at the machine. It gave us a key and a parking code that didn't work, though luckily someone answered the phone and gave us the correct one.
