ibis Millau

We were there for two nights because of car trouble. The staff were really nice and helpful. Thanks so much.

The location in Millau was very good, but parking was difficult and both parking and breakfast were very expensive. I’d wanted to come here for years and was disappointed by the hotel’s standard. It needs renovation. The reception was just a chair and small table, which wasn’t what I expected from this hotel chain. The receptionist had to use Google Translate to check me in.

The parking was excellent, though at €17 a night. The rooms were a good size, but the accessible wet room needs a curtain or enclosure to stop it flooding and becoming unsafe for disabled guests. Staff tried their best, but they were understaffed and the renovation work was very disruptive. We’d asked for rooms close together but ended up on separate floors. Their accounting software is a joke: they couldn’t find any record that we’d prepaid, though luckily we had proof of payment.

The breakfast was genuinely worthy of a four-star hotel, and the place is very central with a large car park. Our recently renovated room was spacious and spotlessly clean, though the shower was a mess to use. We’ll come back.
